Hazeldean Senegus
Bulls |
Semen from the world's foremost Senepol sires has
been used through Artificial Insemination over
selected Hazeldean Angus females to produce Senegus cattle.
The bull calves from this program contain the very
best Angus genetics together with those of the
Senepol, thereby having a distinct advantage
and application to commercial breeding operations
focused on increased meat quality and higher value
carcases as part of their breeding goals.
Feedback from northern producers has been very
positive, with many returning to our Hazeldean
Northern Performance Bull sale to continue their
breeding programme including Senegus bulls. In 2008
the 25 Senegus bulls offered at the sale averaged
$4,000, the same average as for the Angus bulls.

for sale at our Hazeldean Northern Performance bull
sale in mid
August each year at Pinora sales
complex, at Jackson, 80km east of Roma.
Contract Breeding
Hazeldean is involved in several contract breeding
programmes for larger herds. If you are a larger
producer finding it difficult to source the right
