• Females

The Senegus herd is now based at our Riverina property, Rosevale at Hay. The breeding herd now numbers around 300 females. They thrive in the dry and the heat and do well in the environment of the Hay plains, very similar to much of Northern Australias climate.

Senegus females make good mothers. They are:

  • easy-calving due to low birth weights
  • excellent milkers
  • long living; live up to 15 years while still producing a calf every year
  • docile
  • fertile
  • feminine
