Bea is the Managing Director of Hazeldean, a sixth-generation family member. With a background in agribusiness and hands-on stud management, Bea drives Hazeldean’s strategic direction, genetic improvement programs, and industry partnerships. She is committed to building a high-performing team and ensuring the right people are in the business, alongside her focus on profitable, commercially relevant breeding and advancing innovation and resilience within Australia’s livestock sector.

She is married to Ed and they have three busy boys Stirling, Fred and Rex.

Ed joined Hazeldean in early 2017 and plays a key role in sales and client services across both the Merino and Angus enterprises. He works closely with clients to understand their breeding objectives and assists in selections to drive long-term commercial progress. Ed is often behind the wheel of the Hazeldean truck, personally delivering livestock and maintaining strong, direct relationships with clients across Australia.

Ed has a genuine passion for livestock and for the people behind them. He combines practical experience, commercial insight, and strong industry relationships to ensure Hazeldean clients receive not only quality genetics, but trusted advice and long-term support.

Jim is the fifth generation James Litchfield to run Hazeldean P/L. After completing a Bachelor of Agriculture at Orange Agricultural College and jackarooing in Northern NSW Jim came home to take the reins from his father, James Litchfield Snr.

Jim has expanded the business to market bulls in QLD, NSW and SA, the inception of the Senegus program and the progression of the Merino stud.

Jim is married to Libby and they have three children, James, Bea and Iona.

Jenni joined Hazeldean in January 2016 to take care of the administration side of the business. She studied accounting through Charles Sturt Uni and has worked for both government and private business whilst always maintaining her connection with the agriculture industry. Jennifer continues a long time association between Hazeldean and the Miners family. She is as handy in the yards as she is in the office!

John has been managing Springdale since August 2024. John’s family property (along the road from Springdale) is where he grew up and developed his connection with the land and working with cattle.

John gained further experience working on other farms included time spent in the Territory on a cattle station.

Lucy is an integral part of the Hazeldean team, bringing energy, reliability and a strong attention to detail to her role. She is actively involved in the day-to-day livestock operations and plays a key part in ensuring jobs are done thoroughly and efficiently. With a practical approach and a genuine commitment to the team, Lucy contributes to the high standards Hazeldean sets across both the Merino and Angus enterprises.

Nico moved to Hazeldean after a few years working in the Riverina and the NT. Nico coordinates the Hazeldean team’s work schedule.

He is involved in all the cattle and sheep operation, infrastructure and plant maintenance as well as heading the cropping and pasture improvement operations across both Hazeldean and Myalla. Nico enjoys all facets of the ag industry, particularly the beef seedstock area.

Georgia grew up on a mixed-enterprise farm in Inverleigh, Victoria, before moving to a large sheep and cattle station in Dunkeld, where she progressed to managing the sheep stud operations. Georgia is currently completing her work placement at Hazeldean as part of her Agriculture degree at Marcus Oldham College. 

Jason is from the South of England and worked on a dairy and arable farm for a number of years before coming to Australia in 2024. Here he has spent time on a few properties in Western Victoria and on the Monaro. Now he is working alongside the team at Myalla.

Mark has spent his working career on large cattle stations across Australia, including 4 years managing an outstation in far SW QLD channel country. 

Mark and his wife (with 2 year old daughter) travelled and worked on ranches in the USA and Canada. They diversified their skills and gained new insights for livestock and grazing management practices. 

Mark is  passionate about stockmanship and is continuing to develop professionally at Myalla.

Ben joined the Hazeldean team in August 2026, bringing hands-on livestock experience gained across a variety of agricultural enterprises throughout Queensland and New South Wales.

With a passion for livestock and agriculture from a young age, Ben takes pride in achieving the best possible results through quality genetics, livestock education, sound animal-health practices and low-stress stock handling.

Always eager to learn and willing to share his knowledge wherever he can, Ben values teamwork and helping others develop their skills. He approaches every challenge with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, an unshakeable smile and he is always up for a chat.

Georgia is looking after Bea and Ed’s boys a few days a week and the other days is out working with the livestock in whatever project is going on. Over the past 18 months Georgia has gained plenty of livestock experience working on farms in both Victoria and NSW.

Both Will and Toby are working holiday makers from the UK looking to get some hands on experience with livestock while visiting Australia. They will be working between Hazeldean and Myalla for a few months.
